World Record, A Day US Record 4,491 Deaths Related to Corona Virus
Washington - The number of deaths from the Coronavirus in the United States continues to grow dramatically. Even in the past 24 hours, 4,491 deaths were reported in the country.
According to counting data conducted by Johns Hopkins University as reported by the AFP news agency on Friday (4/17/2020), in the day to Thursday (4/16) at 20.30 local time, 4,491 deaths were recorded in the US. This is the highest daily mortality rate in the world since the Coronavirus pandemic struck.
However, this number is likely to include deaths allegedly related to COVID-19, which were not previously included in the calculation data.
Earlier, New York City authorities, one of the most severely affected US territories in Corona, had announced it would add 3,778 deaths thought to be related to the Coronavirus. These are those who died after experiencing symptoms such as COVID-19 but, have not undergone a Corona test to confirm it.
With this additional number of deaths, the number of confirmed Corona-related deaths in the US reached 32,917 deaths on Thursday (4/16) local time.
The US recorded the highest number of deaths in the world, followed by Italy with 22,170 deaths. Then Spain recorded 19,130 deaths and France with 17,920 deaths.
To date, more than 667,800 positive cases of Corona have been recorded in the US. The country recorded a record death rate in the last two days.
In the state of New York alone, which is the center of the Corona outbreak in the US, more than 12 thousand deaths have been reported related to the Coronavirus.
