The Unique Story of Making a New Single Rossa 'Still', Until Then Created a Web Series
Singer Rossa released a new single titled MASIH which was created by Yovie Widianto and Nino Kayam. Interestingly, the reff part of this song was made spontaneously in advance by Yovie when Rossa held the solo concert of The Journey of 21 Dazzling Years in April 2017.
In 2018, Nino Kayam was asked by Rossa to write lyrics to complement the pieces that Yovie had made. Until then the song was complete and the recording process was carried out in 2019.
"The song's reff part has been around since 2017. Why was it released in early 2020 because it was quite a queue? Incidentally last year I filled in the soundtrack of the biopic film Susi Susanti, released Tegar 2.0 and a concert. Finally, after everything was finished, earlier this year I felt it was a good start to release a new single, "said Rossa while holding the launch of the single Still in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Friday (03/06/2020).
In the context of the release of the single Masih, also made a web series titled MASIH (CINTA) TERBAIK, directed by Edo Wahyu Fahreza. This three-episode series has aired on Rossa's official Youtube channel.
The series, which took pictures around Magelang, Semarang, and Ambarawa, also starred Bryan Andrew, Annette Edoarda and Lutfi Aulia. The idea came from Rossa who likes watching Korean dramas.
"Why did I make a web series, because I like Korean dramas, as many people already know. I like watching, I have the desire to make stories like this, make up my own, and then I want the players like this. So I made the web series and acting as executive producer, "he concluded.
